Warehouse Cleaning Team Leader

Operating from our world-class distribution centre in Banbury, we are committed to delivering high standards across all areas of the business. To support the ongoing performance and hygiene of our warehouse environment, we are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Cleaning Team Leader to supervise and lead the on-site cleaning team.
This is a hands-on role, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all warehouse and associated areas, in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise the cleaning team to ensure duties are completed in accordance with the warehouse cleaning schedule.

Ensure all warehouse areas, Bendi charger rooms, the yard, and external rest areas are consistently cleaned and maintained to a high standard.

Conduct regular pest control checks and support activity reporting.

Manage spillage control, logging all incidents and maintaining audit-ready records.

Oversee the baling of cardboard and plastic waste, and report any baler issues promptly.

Support high-level cleaning tasks (e.g. bi-annual deep cleans).

Order and monitor cleaning materials and equipment, escalating any needs to management.

Operate cleaning machinery such as industrial sweepers and scrubber dryers safely and efficiently.

Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety regulations.

Support compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) regarding medicines and medical devices.

Carry out ad hoc duties as required by the Warehouse Manager.
Experience and Skills Required

Previous experience in a similar cleaning team leader role, ideally within an industrial or warehouse environment.

Strong awareness of health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Comfortable working with cleaning equipment and machinery.

Good communication and team management skills.

Organised and able to work to cleaning schedules and standards.

Flexible, proactive, and able to take initiative when needed.
