Business Development Manager

As we celebrate our 30-year anniversary, we are looking to further grow our manufacturing business by identifying and creating new business opportunities.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within our manufacturing division, specifically in the personal care and cosmetics sector. The ideal candidate will have a contract manufacturing background, experience dealing with major retail chains (the mults), and a proven track record in business development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential business opportunities within the manufacturing sector that align with DCS Group’s strategic goals.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and potential clients.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
  • Client Acquisition: Lead efforts in acquiring new clients by presenting compelling business proposals and negotiating contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the manufacturing, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities, progress, and challenges.

 

Key Criteria:

  • Industry Experience: Experience specifically in personal care and cosmetics.
  • Contract Manufacturing Background: Proven experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Retail Experience: Experience dealing with major retail chains (the mults).

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful business development strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and other relevant software tools.

 

Attributes:

  • Dynamic, with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and partners.
