With divisions spanning Sales and Distribution, Export, Co-Packing and Manufacturing, and additional manufacturing operations in Redditch, this is an exciting time to join DCS and be part of our next phase of growth.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and organised Goods Out Controller to support the smooth and accurate dispatch of customer orders from our Banbury warehouse.
You will be responsible for ensuring loads are prepared in the correct priority and drop order, accurately counting pallets, lifts and drops, and providing the information needed for drivers’ packs. You will also transfer loads from the marshalling area to the dispatch zone, ensuring customer-specific requirements are met and that every pallet is correctly stacked, wrapped, labelled and ready for loading.
This is a key operational role where accuracy, safety and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with supervisors to ensure loads are prepared in line with the loading schedule and operational priorities
- Accurately count pallets, lifts and drops and communicate totals to the supervisor
- Transfer loads from the marshalling area to the dispatch zone using PPT or CBT equipment
- Line up loads in the correct drop order
- Check that all stock has been included and that nothing remains in the marshalling area
- Bulk loads and groupage pallets to support transport efficiency
- Ensure orders are picked onto the correct pallet type and inverted where required
- Check that all pallets leaving DCS are good quality, safely stacked and securely wrapped
- Print pallet manifests and customer-specific labels
- Follow B&Q vendor manual requirements and other customer-specific instructions
- Carry out spot checks on selected orders to confirm accuracy and compliance
- Liaise with the Export team to ensure orders are picked, checked and stacked correctly
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Good Distribution Practice requirements
- Operate handling equipment safely and in accordance with regulations
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
- Report quality incidents through the QIR system
- Support with additional warehouse duties when required
About You
We’re looking for someone who is accurate, dependable and confident working in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment
- Trained and competent in the use of an electrical pivot steer truck
- A minimum of CSE or GCSE Maths, or equivalent
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of warehouse quality systems and procedures
- Confident using handling equipment safely
- Able to prioritise workload in line with operational deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A clear commitment to quality, safety and customer requirements

The Opportunity
This isn't just another warehouse role.
As a Goods Out Controller, you'll play a vital role in ensuring customer orders are dispatched accurately, efficiently and safely. You'll be the final checkpoint before products leave our warehouse, helping us deliver the exceptional service our customers expect.
Working closely with Warehouse Supervisors, Transport and Export teams, you'll ensure loads are correctly prepared, quality standards are met and every shipment is ready for departure.
Your attention to detail will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and operational success.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for:

🔹 Organising loads into the correct delivery sequence
🔹 Producing driver paperwork and manifest documentation
🔹 Carrying out quality and accuracy checks
